Hot Bread Men

Materials Used: News Paper, Brown Paper, Toilet Rolls, MacDonald’s French Friend Packs

This is a Bread Man who is charred, and therefore unable to be sold in his bakery. This is because of global warming, and the high temperature we are enduring. He is the most badly affected, for there is no more quality wheat! Please save him, before it is too late!

How did you come up with the idea for this artwork? How much help did the teacher give?

We were inspired by the cute comic character and we felt its’ sorrow of being neglected so we want to honour it.

None, but he criticized us.

What are some of the difficulties faced when making the work?

Time constraints and the lack of patience (to shape the components and stick them together nicely)

(For groups) How did you come to a consensus on any decisions?

We agreed with each other’s opinions very readily.

What have you learnt from this extended art project? (technical or about the environment)

We learnt technical stuff such as using the glue gun and thought up creative methods to make out models.

Did you make any sketches, preparatory studies before commencing on this?

yes, we did.

If you had more resources, what will you improve for the art work? Or not at all?

If we had more time and human resources, we would have produced more quality work.
